On 2 November took place the Turkish National Event in the Vigadó Cultural House from Kézdivásárhely in organization of Green Sun Association. The host of the event was non else but the Turkish EVS volunteer of the organization Ayşe Büşra Yılmaz. Please follow our Facebook page for more photos and from the event.
63 people participated in this activity and the enthusiastic interest of the participants made us very happy. At the start of the event Turkish traditional Tea prepared by Ayşe was offered to guests. The Turkish national event began with the introduction of Istanbul’s historical sites and popular icons… Then Black Sea, Southeast Anatolia, Marmara Region, Mediterranean Region, Aegean Region, İnternal Anatolia Region cuisine and traditional clothes was presented. And after general information about the history of Turkey was given also. This information were mostly about the Byzantine periods and the Ottoman period. Also The religions and beliefs of the Turks from Islam were explained by our volunteer.
After two short films were showned about Istanbul. The event continued with a cultural dance celebrated before Turkish Girls married. For this the host of the event ware a traditional costume used for this especially for this occasion .
At the end of event, Turkish food prepared by Ayşe Büşra Yılmaz was offered to guests. Ingredients in the lentil köfte; Bulgur, lentils, three onions, 1 bunch green onion, 1 bunch of parsley, 2 garlic and tomato sauce. And some participant ladies were interested in this recipe…
