Selective waste collection in Molnár Józsiás School

On October 23 Green Sun Association was present in Molnár Józsiás School in Kézdivásárhely to conduct non-formal education on the theme of selective waste collection. Photos from the activities are available on the association’s Facebook page. The activities aimed to raise awareness of the scholars from IV A and B classes on the need for selective waste collection. Today we find more waste in municipal waste that could be recycled. These wastes could be easily put into special placed bins, and later be reused in recycling plans. The activity started on Friday with ice-breaking games, then we talked with the children about the importance of waste selection. This was followed by an interesting game where we analyze a pile of garbage and the children had to sort the found materials and put them into the special bins. The children form groups of 5-6 members and standing one after another had to give the garbage one by one to the one in front of them and put it into the bins placed behind them. All this using only their arms. The scholars after the activities know more about the selective waste collection and realized its importance.
