On 15th March, throughout Szeklerland every settlement paid its tribute to the Hungarian Revolution of 1848. In Lisnău, the ceremony started at 11 a.m. and was led by the reformed pastor Derzsi György. More than 100 people gathered at the traditional place for the commemoration of the Ides of March. Following the church service, the pupils of the elementary school did an artistic program proper for the occasion, creating a sublime, yet joyful atmosphere. The Green Sun Association was invited by the Reformed Parish to offer the opportunity for its volunteers, Gayane Asatryan from Armenia and Ieva Brikmane from Latvia to present the national holidays of their countries. The two volunteer girls are here due to the European Volunteering Service. Every child and adult in the settlement, which appertains to the township Ozun, participated at this event. The commemoration ended by the hoisting of the Szekler flag, accompanied by the honors of the traditionalist hussars in the yard of the church, followed by the laying of wreathes in the memorial park.
