On September 21 Green Sun association celebrated the seventh time the International Peace Day. Photos from the event are available on the association’s Facebook page!
Like last year this year too, the event was held in Józsias Central Park Molnar. On the event from Monday afternoon, participants formed the peace sign as a symbol of brotherhood. Eniko Hodor, volunteer at the association read the message of Ban Ki Mun, Secretary General of UNESCO. Then Zsófia Sárkány recited Reményik Sándor poem and Klára Kamilla sang the song Legyen béke mindenkinek (Let there be peace for all). Bod Peter pedagogical school students were led by their teachers Gligor Zoltán and Fejér Piroska, whom we thank. The event was continued under the leadership of Ms Kis Emese and Zsolt Kelemen. They had speak about eight trees on the world map, which is considered the oldest in the world. At the end of the event participants of the Erasmus +project from Bod Peter School joined the event. The approximately 50 participants represented five different countries (Italy, Spain, Turkey, Greece and Hungary). Participants had to perform various tasks, and finally created an ornament “Peace around the trees.” The positive feedback of the participants incites us to organize the event in the coming years and not only focusing strictly on peace, but also natural creatures that are indispensable to our trawl. It is a current theme to realize youth to protect trees, our forests, because natural forests are habitat for many animals and not least for trees we should thank the most needed oxygen. The organizers thanks to partners and sponsors for their support.
