Waiting for New Year’s Eve in December

New Year’s Eve is coming. We meet at W. Wegener Park in early December for Santa Claus to come and bring gifts to the children. A lot of people and children waited with excitement. The children were very happy with the gifts he brought. I wore a costume and became one of the elfs of Santa Claus. I had a very fun event with the surprised and curious looks of the children. We prepared games for the children and their families. It was a very crowded event. We all had a good time together. At the event I tried for the first time a local dish “Lángos” which I liked.

We organized the “Moving Afternoon” event the same week. A boxing coach came for the event and taught the children and us some moves. I did a hand activity with the children. I taught them how to make origami bookmarks in the shape of a Christmas tree. We played board games, Jenga and other games together. I like spending time with the children and playing games. I went ice skating for the first time in my life. Since this was my first time, I really had a hard time. I mostly slid by holding on to the edges. After falling a few times, I learned to stand. Maybe I’ll try again in the coming days.

December was a very active month and we organized many events. I felt both tired and happy at times. I will come back next month to tell you about the events and my life here. I’m excited for new events.
