On July 7, the Green Sun Association organized a bicycle tour from Targu Secuiesc, on the Nemere Trail, which was inaugurated in the previous year. Photos taken at this event can be viewed on the Facebook page of the association!
The object of the bike tour is to show the beauties if the region and to make practical use of the trail. The participants cycled 45 kilometers through a beautiful trail on a bright, sunny day. The Nemere Trail was designed to popularize the natural and cultural heritage of Upper Szekler-land. The 230 kilometers trail goes past 30 mineral-water springs, 78 important buildings on 50 settlements in the seats Kézdiszék and Orbaiszék. The 24 bikers started their trip at 8 o’clock in the morning, from the Sinkovits Sports Stadium, after receiving booklets about the Nemere Trail. The 32-page free booklet can be read on the web. Following the signs marked with the letter C (that stands for Cyclers) they went on to Sanzieni, Petriceni, Turia, Alungeni, Icafalau, Cernat and finally returned to Targu Secuiesc.
